Context of the community in which he works
Since August 2017, Amaranta has been a home for court-referred children, run by its directors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and local volunteers.
Children aged 0 to 4 without parental care live in the home all year round. They were separated from their families due to violations of their rights and have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, and violence. We started in a rented house, which we had to leave during the pandemic. We then moved to another rental for four years. In 2024, we were able to purchase a house thanks to the support of many people. We adapted the space to make it optimal for the home's work.
As of March 2026, 69 children have been hosted at Amaranta.

Its goals
We care for children who are victims of abuse and neglect. During their stay, we provide detailed, trauma-informed care focused on development and overall health, helping them rebuild their lives.
Our goal is for them to successfully reintegrate into society and start a new life within a family.
While 45% of adoptions in Argentina are restrictive, all Amaranta cases have been successful. Our care model is based on respect and human dignity.
Main activities carried out
We provide daily comprehensive care, ensure access to rights, and work on trauma recovery. Activities require strong teamwork and consistency. Ongoing training is provided.
Volunteers profile
Volunteers must be open to learning and teamwork. Interest in others and commitment to the child’s best interest are essential.
We aim to be role-model adults without standing out individually.
Simple clothing, no makeup, accessories, or perfume.
