SOLFAMI is an organization that was founded in 2012 to manage and administer a long-distance adoption program. He is currently involved in the Centro Social Unidad project in the La Merced neighborhood in Bogotá and the Escuela Sol Naciente project.

Context of the community in which he works
Bogotá has a population of about 8 million inhabitants and is divided into 20 urban areas including Rafael Uribe Uribe, where the Centro Social Unidad is located in the La Merced district. It is a place where there are situations of poverty and very high indices of violence, teenage pregnancies, lack of education, consumption of alcohol and psychoactive substances. Young people are victims of domestic violence and grow up with dysfunctional reference models that are reflected in exclusion, lack of academic and work opportunities. Centro Social Unidad supports and intervenes in the areas of: schooling, human training and nutrition. The SOL NACIENTE SCHOOL is located in the municipality of Tocancipá, in an industrial area dedicated to flower cultivation. In recent years, as a consequence of a great demographic growth, the index of the population in a vulnerable state has become even higher. The beneficiaries of these two projects are children and their families.
Its goals
The main objective of the Centro Social Unidad is to contribute to the integral development of children and adolescents and their families, drawing inspiration from the pedagogy of unity that stems from Chiara Lubich's charism.
The objective of the Sol Naciente school is to promote the formation of students through the pedagogy of unity, reinforcing a leadership based on the values of fraternity, sharing and interculturality that inform the institution's entire educational project.
Main activities carried out
SOLFAMi manages the resources allocated to the Centro Social Unidad and the Sol Naciente School and supports their management. The Centro Social Unidad develops school reinforcement activities for boys, girls and adolescents and carries out accompanying projects for families and local residents. The Sol Naciente School is a formal education institution, so its activities revolve around the education of children and young people in the municipality where it is located.
Volunteers profile
Undergraduate students or professionals or similar. Students or professionals with studies in digital marketing and web and social network management, preferably using Gsuites and Gsite.
Tasks to be done
The planned activities are: Supporting teachers to ensure children's school accompaniment. Updating the web page; collaborating and implementing digital maketing strategy, platform management and data storage; attending policy meetings and presenting reports.
